I made this cake for my friend last weekend.
Blue and white marble buttercream cake.
Add a thick layer of white buttercream all over the cake.

In a medium bowl add 2 cups white.
Then remove the acetate and smooth over any imperfections you may have with a hot spatula or bench scraper.
Add a 2 3 cup of vanilla buttercream over the cake.
Use an offset spatula to fill in any gaps with more.
Gently smooth over the acetate to make sure the buttercream is fully attached to the cake and pop in the freezer for about 25 30 minutes to firm up the frosting.
Putting it all together layer one marble cake cut side up onto cake board.
Vanilla buttercream frosting 3 cups unsalted butter room temperature 678 grams 11 cups powdered sugar 1375 grams 1 tsp salt 6 grams 1 3 cup heavy cream or whipping cream 75 grams 1 1 2 tbsp vanilla extract 18 grams purple blue green yellow orange and red gel food coloring.
